Sharing (Default) Document Properties Across Teams

Once you have configured (default) document properties the way you want them, you can save them to a file that can be reused as a template. Collaborators in your team or organization are then able to load this file in Composer, in order to use the same (default) document properties. This makes it easy to harmonize globally document properties for all stakeholders working on a given project.

Important: The Password property (Security page) is not saved to this file.

Saving Document Properties for Reuse

You can save document properties to a file that can be reused as a template across your team or organization.

Before you begin: Customize document properties the way you want them for sharing.

  1. In the (Default) Document Properties dialog box, click the Save... button.

  2. In the Save dialog box that appears, choose a location and specify a name for the file.

    The file will be saved with the extension *.docPropSet.

  3. Click the Save button.

Reusing (Default) Document Properties

You can reuse document properties that have been saved to a *.docPropSet file.

Note: You can reuse properties either in the current document (Document Properties), or in all documents (Default Document Properties).

  1. In the (Default) Document Properties dialog box, click the Load... button.

  2. In the Load dialog box that appears, select the *.docPropSet file to reuse.

  3. Click the Open button.

The document properties are now loaded and taken into account.
