Layers Pane

The Layers pane lets you manage layers, which capture actor visibility (including SOLIDWORKS display states ).

Layers are views that capture actor visibility; actor invisibility is not captured. After each format conversion, Composer creates one layer that captures the native CAD visibility states.

To display the Layers pane, click Window > Show/Hide > Layers.

Toolbar Commands

Toolbar commands let you create and delete layers.

Icon Command Name Description


Create Layer Creates a layer.


Delete Layers Deletes the selected layers.

Right-Click Commands

Right-click a layer to display additional commands.

Note: To apply a layer to the current view, double-click the layer. You can also press Space Bar to display the next layer.
