Video Compression

The Video Compression dialog box lets you select a video encoder (codec) to compress your video.

Compressing your video reduces file size and improves performance but might decrease quality.

To display this dialog box, click Save Video As in the Video workshop. Then, in the Save Video dialog box, specify the file name and click Save.

Command Name Description

Compression Quality (Not available for all compressors.) Specifies the compression level. For some compressors, click Configure to set the compression quality. Lower compression quality produces smaller file sizes of lesser image quality.
Configure (Not available for all compressors.) Lets you specify compressor options such as compression level. For some compressors, use Compression Quality instead.

Note: Some video encoders require certain viewport sizes. If you get the error "Could not set format. Please change your settings.", try setting Change window resolution to a different value.
