New Project

The New Project dialog box lets you create a new Composer project.

To display this dialog box, click File > New Project . Specify the project name, location, and loading options, and then click OK. In the Add Products dialog box, select one or more product ( .smgXml) files to add to the project. For fully-shattered assemblies, specify the top-level assembly .smgXml only (not the .smgXml of all subassemblies and parts).

Project

Command Name Description
Name Specifies the project name. Composer creates a .smgProj project file and folder of the specified name in Folder.
Folder Specifies where the project file and folder are created.

Paths

Specifies the top-level product, scenario, and view files that are created in the project folder. These read-only values are generated from your Name and Folder values.

Command Name Description
Product Displays the project top-level product (.smgXml) file. This file references the products you add to the project.
Scenario Displays the project scenario (.smgSce) file.
Views Displays the project views (.smgView) file.

Geometry

Specifies how geometry is loaded.
