An updated firmware has been sent to Push. If the update went well, your Push should be asking you to press Select. Please do so and check whether Push is working as expected. If it is, you can now simply close this lesson.

If a problem occurs during the update process, don't panic. It is always possible to restore Push's firmware. In general, consider the following steps to reduce the potential for error:
-> Make sure Push is the only MIDI device connected.
-> Don't run the update on a computer with low battery.
-> Make sure you have a stable USB connection. The cable shouldn't be too long. It's best to connect Push directly to your computer, rather than via a USB hub.

Follow the steps below if Push's display shows an error during or after the firmware update. If Push's display is blank, go to the next page.
*Note for Windows 8 users only:* Restart Live before following the steps below. Note that this lesson will not appear again after restarting.
-> Turn Push off, then back on.
-> Press Push's Select button when instructed to do so on the display.
-> In a few moments, Live will show a message box with instructions for updating the firmware again.
-> When instructed to do so on Push's display, press the Select button on Push.

Some firmware update errors may cause Push to stop working entirely. When turning Push on, the display will be blank and all LEDs will be off. Follow the steps below to fix this.
*Note for Windows 8 users only:* Restart Live before following the steps below. Note that this lesson will not appear again after restarting.
-> Turn Push off.
-> Press and hold the Shift button on Push.
-> Turn Push on while holding the Shift button, and continue holding the Shift button.
-> In a few moments, Live will show a message box with instructions for updating the firmware again.
-> When instructed to do so on Push's display, press the Select button on Push.
-> Release Push's Shift button.
